After the past couple of games (including the complete implosion tonight), I’m convinced that someone has replaced the Cleveland Indians bullpen with a particularly crappy Beer League softball team’s pitching staff.  Maybe they could trot out Meatloaf to toss a couple of innings to show these guys how it’s done.  After all, isn’t he lights out in all those celebrity softball games on Disney Sports Channel (I mean ESPN)? 

How can the tribe’s pen go from one of the best in the league in 2005 to the worst in the majors in 2006 and only lose one player (Howry)?  I know. I know.  Wickman was serviceable.  However, they were still pretty bad before they traded Wickman but he too had a way to make that 3 run 9th inning lead seem shaky. 

The way the tribe’s pen is playing this year, it makes me yearn for the return of Joe Table (a.k.a Jose Mesa) and I was one of the founding members of the “Rid the Tribe of Mesa” club.  What was the quote from Major League anyway?  “Their still S*#ty!!!”
