Are the Browns cursed or does God have something against the Browns?  First take our team, then, as a part of some cruel joke, give the city of Cleveland hope to begin again with a new team, only to have our hopes dashed each and every year by injuries to key free agents and/or draft picks.  Below is a list of the players with significant injuries since the Browns returned to Cleveland in 1999:

Tim Couch (thumb, arm, elbow, and spirit)

Courtney Brown. (multiple injuries over many years)

Jamir Miller tore an Achilles’ tendon in a preseason game in Minnesota, the year after he went to the Pro Bowl.

Center Jeff Faine (three years in a row ending the season on the injured reserve list)

Kellen Winslow (broken leg, torn knee ligament, lacerated spleen, etc…).

Gary Baxter (torn pectoral muscle).

Braylon Edwards (torn knee ligament).

LeCharles Bentley (knee). - One the first play in training camp no less!

It is a miracle that anyone wants to sign with the Browns.  I’m not saying that the Browns might as well pack it up but it would have been nice to see what the offensive could do with LeCharles and the rest of the revamped line.
