In case you missed it from yesterday’s NY Times, Yankees Manager Joe Torre is catching a little flak for a charity fundraiser it’s holding later this month.

From the Times:

The outside of the invitation says, “Rub and Be Rubbed, Grip and Be Gripped, Tickle and Be Tickled.” Inside, it says, “Touch and Be Touched.” Next to those words is a picture of a woman in black panties lying atop a man wearing jeans.

Torre, whose Safe at Home Foundation supports the very worthy cause of combatting domestic abuse, said that while it raised his eyebrow, he saw nothing wrong with invitation. And he’s right: SIMPly put, it’s a tempest in a teapot.

Unless Randy Johnson is the man wearing the jeans — which would be beyond the bounds of good taste.
