Well, SIMP’s own Scott Smith isn’t exactly a former NFL MVP and league rushing title holder, but rumor has it that he didn’t kiss a girl until he was standing at the altar, much like Shaun Alexander, apparently. It seems fitting that I traded Shaun-the-24-year-old-virgin to Scott in the FANDO Fantasy Football League last season, then.
By the looks of things, —>
Shaun chose WISELY to wait. I’m hoping, however, I punted (on) him at the right time. That fact that Alexander is publishing his autobiography NOW, at age 30 (when the 2007 season begins), I think, portends POORLY for Scott. ![]()

SLANDER!!! You’ll be hearing from my attorney from the law firm of Bolton, Smith, & Friess!
As for punting on him at the right time, I traded you three players that I wouldn’t ever dream of holding and you were trying to make a move to win a crown. Don’t make it sound like you had some sort of crazy Jedi mind trick going on me at the time.
I have the biggest risk/reward on my keepers in this particular fantasy league for the 2007 season. In addition to Shaun Alexander, I also have Larry “600 carries” Johnson. I could have two broken down backs by Week 4 or I could have the most fearsome backfield that doesn’t include LaDanian Tomlinson.
I finally hop off my ranting and raving soap-box, stop throwing out 1001 facts about Duke, and finally try to be a little comical for a change, and Scott gets all serious on me. I can’t win! I just hope Duke wins a few games this weekend - between the Nationals, this year’s Duke men’s team, and the steaming pile my FANDO team left behind this year, I can’t catch a break! :-p
FWIW, I heard the rumor about your “limited experience” from Friess, so, don’t go looking to him for help….
