Sports Illustrated reported on Thursday that Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman will support instant replay in baseball next season. This morning, ESPN reported that at their meetings in Orlando, Fla., next week, major league GMs will recommend using television replay to commissioner Bud Selig and owners.

I think this is long over due. The key is making sure to do it in a way that has minimal impact on the speed of the game.
We had a good chat about this last November… http://www.snakesinmypants.com/2006/11/16/instant-replay-in-mlb/

Agreed. Let’s start with out/safe at home, and fair/foul/where-did-the-ball-hit? on home run balls, and go from there.
I’d love to eventually see Replay used (perhaps in a challenge system) on other out/safe calls and on OF fair/foul line calls, but you gotta start somewhere, and starting with the most oft-missed, most egregious errors that can easily be corrected is a good way to go.
BRAVO.
