Former Ohio State Buckeye and Minnesota Viking Robert Smith, arguably among the more intellectual players with an NCAA 1-A and NFL resumé, and now of ESPN’s “College Football Live Weekend Picks” has, like many others this weekend, selected #2 Boston College over Florida State. That isn’t so interesting, but his reason is worth posting here in this forum, where previously the defense of the nation’s current #2 team was described as “pedestrian”. Smith says FSU is at a disadvantage against “this excellent Boston College Defense”. He went on to explain that “people will say all over the place (maybe he reads SIMP) ok 100th ranked pass defense that you have for Boston College, that’s just because nobody runs on them. It’s the second-ranked defense and they are 16th in the country in pass-efficiency defense.”
Oh, and if anyone is wondering what to get me for Christmas.

Unfortunately it seemed more like a pedestrian offense showed up lead by a potential Heisman candidate. Could that game cost him the trophy?
Glad to see BC is still top 10. I still think they are the strongest team in the ACC. It takes more than one bad Saturday to be punished out of the top 10.
