Davis, 36, was named the AP Coach of the Year of last week’s Final Four after leading his Drake Bulldogs, of the Missouri Valley Conference, to a 28-5 record, including 21 wins in a row.
Keno is the son of former BC Head Coach, Dr. Tom Davis.
Of particular note to the undersigned, Davis and his wife have a son named Brady!
Okay, I have to be honest and say that I’m not thrilled at how this all played out, but from what very little I know about Davis, it looks like a decent hire. I just wish an alum and an A-10 coach hadn’t jilted our program in public to get here, and I think Ford was a better fit.
Good luck Keno!

His dad was the coach at Boston College when I was in high school. He was very well respected. If Keno is a chip off the old block, the Friars will be in good shape. If I recall correctly, his dad left BC to coach Stanford, and was replaced by current Maryland coach Gary Williams, who had been an assistant to his father during the senior Coach Davis’ early years at BC.
Keno should have roundball in his blood.
Seems they did pretty good with Davis. His name was rumored at Stanford and some other places.
