Something funny is happening to the 66-16 Boston Celtics on the way to a 17th World Championship!!!
The atrocious Atlanta Hawks, who barely snuck into the Eastern Conference playoffs with a 37-45 record, and were smashed by the #1 seed Celtics in games 1 and 2, are on the verge of one of the greatest upstes in the history of sports.
Game 5 is tonight in the Bean. An Atlanta win ends the series, barring a Sox-esque comeback.

Why would it end it? Celts would be down 3-2 and would need to win 2 in a row. You really think the Celts wouldn’t have a chance to do that?
I think they would have a chance, but Atlanta is so young, aggressive, and athletic, I think they would be greatly emboldened. Did you watch game 3? The Cs gave up in the 4th quarter of that game and in game 4, they weren’t nearly aggressive enough on the offensive end - they acted scared of the Hawk shot-blockers.
If the Cs lose tonight, they are in big, big trouble.
Nah, I don’t watch much NBA basketball if I can help it. Just seems that the talent that Boston has would make deciding the series over if the C’s lose tonight a bit of a stretch.
Well, the Cs certainly put themselves in a good position to close things out tonight.
I do NOT want to see this thing go 7. The Hawks are gaining confidence every game they play.
