The Yankees big rotation addition could come from within. To wit, Ian Kennedy, who along with Phil Hughes was supposed to be a rotation next-gen mainstay this year but ended up flopping and then getting injured is healthy and pitching again, at AAA Scranton. And last night he came within an error of notching his first professional no-hitter (which would, for reasons I don’t understand — they were playing softball? — have ended after seven innings).

I thought you had misspoke (mistyped?) when you said he came within an error of his first no-hitter, but after following the link I get it: the error would’ve been last out of the game and then a hit followed. At least the run was unearned…
