Brett Favre joins other Hall of Famers who played for the Jets, like Art Monk and Ronnie Lott.
Oh? You don’t remember their Jet tenures?
And in 20 years Favre’s Jet tenure will be as memorable as Willie Joe Namath’s Rams go-round. This is how it has always been with the Jets and so it shall ever be. Teases and moments of hope whose only apparent use is to raise Jet fans’ hopes for later dashing.
But … how glorious the view is from the summit of Mount Hope. Sure we know the scratching of pebbles only portends the avalanche of doom that will engulf this Jets team, but for a day or a week or a month the promised land seems as close as a Brett Favre throw.

Start spreading the news,
Favre’s leaving today.
He’s gonna make a brand new start of it,
in ollllllllld, New York!
You know, despite the animosity I have towards that backstabber Mangina, I am happy for the Jets on this one. It’s not that I don’t hope the Patriots pickle him 9 times in 2 games this year, but this really does inject some life into a franchise that really could use some goodwill.
Hard to believe that Favre really believe he has the chance to win a Super Bowl with the Jets. I think the Pats have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL this year, so its going to be very hard for Favre and the Jets to be anything but a wild card candidate. That hardly seems what Brett was aiming for, though maybe there is another plot underway to send the north Jersey Mafia, oops I mean trash collectors, after Brady.
btw - so who does Chad Pennington get to hold a clipboard for? Favre or somewhere else?
Penny’s gone. I bet he ends up in Minny or Chicago.
