In case you missed it, AP’s got a pretty good story on the all-nerves team. As in owners of these players will be all nerves this season.

No Branch, No Givens, No Problem?
It is I, the resident Patriots fan (at least, the one that actually posts articles on the site) here to offer my quick-take on the Patriots upcoming season. I’ll take a slightly different tact from my Gang-Greenious fellow SimPian Rob Schlesingbrenner’s on his beloved Jets.
Monday Night Fantasy Notes: As the Raiders (past and future) QBs turn…
Here’s the fantasy football spin on a scad of, err, interesting developments from the last day or two:
Medical marvel

Carson Palmer tonight vs. the GB Packers: 9 of 14 for 140 yards, 3 TDs, 0 INT. This is the same man who crumpled to the turf with a torn left ACL on January 8th of the same year. Not 8 months have passed and Palmer looks ready to pick up where he left off in ‘05.
Palmer’s not alone - Daunte Culpepper looks like he’s going to start the season in Miami and Ben Rothelisberger doesn’t seem to be affected by the horrific motorcycle accident he suffered this summer. However, it is Palmer’s resurection that is the most mystifying of them all. Roethlisberger didn’t sustain any injuries to his arm or legs that caused any concern about his ability to throw. Culpepper’s return is also impressive, but he’s also had over 2 more months to heal. This is the same YEAR that Palmer hurt his ACL and he looks ready to lead the Bengals out in Week 1. SIMPly amazing…
The Herminator
The Kansas City Chiefs’ vaunted offense may have finally met its match: The Herminator.
I refer of course to newly minted Chiefs Head Coach Herman Edwards.
My Favorite Martin a Grounded Jet? (…and other NFL notes)
The Star-Ledger’s Dave Hutcheson reported today that Jets RB Curtis Martin told the team before the April draft that they should consider drafting a running back, because his knee was not responding to off-season arthroscopic surgery.
Martin has been on the physically-unable-to-perform list all camp and the Jets have remained mum about his status and why he remains out. According to Hutcheson, fears are growing that Martin’s playing days may be over.
Which — putting aside one’s feelings about the possibility that a great one may be finished — raises the practical question: Should the Jets have listened to Martin and drafted his heir? (Note: The Jets drafted RB Leon Washington in the fourth round, but he’s not viewed as a potential starter.) And should the Jets investigate a trade for a proven runner now (we’re looking at you, Chris Brown)?
The answer to both questions: No.
